Polo Shirt To Cute Jacket Repurpose

I was going to make a jacket to go with the floral dress that I altered a few days ago, but the green fabric didn’t really match like I would have liked. Since green jackets/sweaters aren’t that easy to come by the search was on. There was a time limit involved so it needed to be quick. This green polo shirt from Walmart matched so it was off to the races.

My first step was to cut it up the front and remove the button placket and collar. I also cut a few inches off the bottom and hemmed the sleeves to make it look a little more feminine. This cute, casual looking lace came from Hancock Fabrics. I used it to trim around the bottom, up the front opening and around the collar.  I think it looks adorable! What do you think?
