I was going to make a jacket to go with the floral dress that I altered a few days ago, but the green fabric didn’t really match like I would have liked. Since green jackets/sweaters aren’t that easy to come by the search was on. There was a time limit involved so it needed to be quick. This green polo shirt from Every Day Low Prices at Wal-MartWalmart matched so it was off to the races.

My first step was to cut it up the front and remove the button placket and collar. I also cut a few inches off the bottom and hemmed the sleeves to make it look a little more feminine. This cute, casual looking lace came from Hancock Fabrics. I used it to trim around the bottom, up the front opening and around the collar.  I think it looks adorable! What do you think?
