We should all have a cat as smart as Theodore. He has a special insight into his human’s life and dark secrets. Theodore knows that his human, Dean, has killed before and he wants to keep it from happening again. He appreciates the fact that Dean rescued him and takes care of him but he just can’t let the killing go on. Theodore gets attached to Dean’s latest victim-to-be and tries his best to protect her.

The book switches back and forth between the perspectives of Dean and Theodore. It was an interesting read. But I did not appreciate the profanity and think the point could have been gotten across without it.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
