A to Z Blogging Challenge in April

Fandango’s provocative question of the week has intrigued me. It’s about the A to Z blogging challenge that happens every April. I’m new to the game on this one so I had to head over to that blog to get more info.

In a nutshell, beginning on March 26th you can sign up to join the challenge. Here’s the idea. There are 26 letters in the alphabet and 30 days in April so there will be a letter to respond to each day except for Sundays.

If you’d like to pick your own theme for the month you can do that, too, and make a reveal post about that ahead of time, during March 12th-18th. I’m a sucker for a good challenge so my reveal post will be coming soon.

So back to Fandango’s multi-part provocative question:

Are you planning to formally and officially register for this year’s A to Z Blogging Challenge, pick a theme, and participate? Heck, yeah. Why or why not? It sounds like fun & I love a good challenge.

Or, are you planning to informally and unofficially participate in this year’s A to Z Blogging Challenge on an ad hoc basis? This is my first year participating so I will just follow along as is.

Or, are you going to skip the A to Z Challenge altogether? See above. 😁

What about you?? Why don’t you join me and we’ll see what we can come up with for April? #FPQ

  1. Hi Melissa,

Thanks for this. Didn’t know about the challenge but found out from your blog. I love blog challenges and although the theme sign up is now closed I’ve just sent some questions about the challenge to the organizer.

I know the challenge will be open from March 26th.

Do you know if the challenge is valid if I only take part in the challenge that is available for signup from the 26th?

Or do I have to have taken part in the theme challenge as well or is the theme challenge completely separate? Wishing you the best of luck with the challenge.

    • Thank you. I’m not sure of all the details but you can always do this on your blog anyway even without signing up. And I think that announcing your theme was optional. I like challenges, too, and thought this might spark my creativity a little bit. I also find some fun challenges from Pensitivity 101 and Fandango. Or I’ll just do a search for “prompt” or “challenge” sometimes. I hope you have fun with it!
