Day S! Okay, okay, this is a stretch for S, but my friend and I went to an art studio last night for her birthday, and I just wanted to share. 😂 In my mind it was going to be like a Bob Ross class and the teacher would demonstrate how to turn a blank canvas into a work of art.

Needless to say I was a little surprised when I saw that the canvas had a pre-drawn design. I guess it was helpful but it was a little distracting, too. We later found out this was an advanced class. I had no idea. Next time we might go for something a bit simpler.

We had never gone to one of the canvas painting classes where they direct you as you go. She was an art minor so I thought she might enjoy it. It looks like she did!

The in-progress photos are a little scary. Oh, in the spirit of full disclosure, these classes sound fun, and they are, but they are also more than a little stressful. Self deprecating remarks could be heard all around the room. Most people were mumbling under their breath about how their painting was a train wreck or how the teacher was going too fast for them to keep up. 😄 In the end it all came together and I think everyone was happy with their finished product.

So here they are. The same, but different. Kind of like people if you think about it. Now it’s your turn. Go make some art. I hope you have a great day!

I think you both did a good job on these.
I did that once, but my Sis dissed it and I wound up throwing it away. I’m more confident now, though and should try it again sometime. Great Job.
Definitely excellent end results!
