A To Z Challenge: W

My theme this year is Bible verses. Welcome to day W where the subject is wisdom. The Bible talks a lot about wisdom, but some of my favorites come straight from the book of Proverbs. What a wonderful resource when we are searching for the way we should live our lives. Enjoy!

Proverbs 1:7 NIV — The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Proverbs 2:6 NIV — For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 9:11 NIV — For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.

Proverbs 10:23 NIV — A fool finds pleasure in wicked schemes, but a person of understanding delights in wisdom.

Proverbs 10:31 NIV — From the mouth of the righteous comes the fruit of wisdom, but a perverse tongue will be silenced.

Proverbs 16:16 NIV — How much better to get wisdom than gold, to get insight rather than silver!

Proverbs 19:8 NIV — The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.

Proverbs 19:11 NIV — A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.

Proverbs 21:30 NIV — There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.

Proverbs 28:26 NIV — Those who trust in themselves are fools, but those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.

Proverbs 31:26 NIV — She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
