The Thought Of Losing It All

This is a scary thought that has been on my mind lately because I am in the southern area recently affected by Hurricane Helena. The only damage we received was a couple of downed trees. By God’s grace the largest one that could have done some serious damage to our house actually fell uphill into the woods and caused no damage. The other one barely dented our fence and was an easy fix. Unfortunately we are now dealing with poison ivy after working in all that brush last Saturday.

At our other property we had a couple of trees that fell and damaged our neighbors fence. We only had to replace a few 4x4s and he was happy. Compared to others very near us our damage was extremely mild.

So what would I do if I lost all my possessions? I guess I would be forced to look within and find out what I’m truly made of. I’d have to find a way to make peace with it and rely on God for His help. I hope I never have to find out and I pray for those suffering from the devastation right now. We have been trying to do our part to help and our communities are really rallying together. That’s inspirational to see. I hope all is well with you. Thanks for reading. 😊
