In a sunlit corner of the living room, a pernickety houseplant named Percival held court, demanding nothing short of perfection. His owner, Lana, quickly learned that watering him at precisely 9:00 AM was crucial; anything later would provoke a dramatic droop of his leaves. One fateful morning, distracted by a particularly riveting episode of her favorite show, Lana forgot the ritual. While walking to the kitchen to get a drink, she found Percival leaning dramatically to the side, as if in a theatrical display of betrayal. With a sigh, she whispered apologies, promising never to forget him again. Soon Percival again stood resolute, plotting his next act of leafy rebellion.
