Does everyone have tons of old pairs of jeans and other pants or is it just me? I routinely go through our closets and donate things to local thrift stores, but I always keep back a few thing to craft with. I also found a BIG variety of lace so I decided to use some of it, too.
I don’t have many pairs of shorts for summer so I thought before I went shopping I’d make some. I really wanted something easy so there is no sewing with this one. I used pinking shears to cut the jeans to help prevent fraying since I wasn’t sewing a hem. I attached the lace with fabric glue. It dries clear so I also put a smidge on the edges of the lace to prevent it from fraying. That’s it. Easy Peasy.
Use chalk to mark where to cut Draw a chalk line for a straight cut Ready to trim I rounded up a bunch of lace I got this at Dollar General for $3.00 Top side Under side Finished!
Thanks for looking. I hope you’re inspired to upcycle some old pants. Stay safe!
