This is perhaps the least specific blog you will find. A variety of DIY projects, book reviews, health tips, yoga poses, fashion ideas, recipes or something altogether different depending on my current mood. I've never been pigeon-holed into one category so neither is my blog. Strap in and enjoy the ride!

I really do love all things camping. Well, all things except mosquitos. Although, it seems like I find more mosquitos around my house than when I’m camping. Strange. I recently got my 2020 KOA Kampground Directory in the mail. I’ve been browsing through planning trips as I often do. It always makes me think back to previous trips so I’m sharing some today.
⬆️ Last year we visited The Outer Banks for the first time. As beach vacations go this was SO different for us! We’re used to the commercialized beaches of Daytona Beach in Florida or Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. This was completely different. Being at the Cape Hatteras KOA was like staying with family in a small town as opposed to being in a big city. This KOA was phenomenal and it was right on the beach. It offers a huge pool, hot tub, a K9 play area, a multitude of sites, and SO many activities! We made tye-dye t-shirts and ate at their restaurant every day. It was great!⬆️ The Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA was the closest one we could find to Atlanta, GA. We stayed here on a trip to see the Atlanta Braves, visit Six Flags Over Georgia, and other touristy attractions in the area. This one was not nearly as big and the sites were not as elaborate as the Outer Banks one but it was clean and nice. There was a pool, a laundry room, hot showers, a t.v. in our cabin, and a huge ‘family room’ next to the camp store where my son enjoyed watching ballgames. It was a fun trip.⬆️ The Fancy Gap / Blue Ridge Parkway KOA was another small campground in a rural setting. It had the same basic ammenities, plus a pool and a fishing pond. That was our favorite part! We stayed here on a trip to ‘Mayberry’ in nearby Mt. Airy, NC. We stayed in our camper this time and it was a lot of fun.⬆️ The kids were smaller the last time we stayed at the Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in North Carolina. It is SUPER close to Carowinds theme park. As you can see by the campground road signs it has a Halloween theme year round. I’m sure it’s a fun place to be in the fall when Scarowinds is going on at the theme park. It has a pool, bouncing pillow, K9 area, and a store. It’s also close to a lot of restaurants. It’s also fairly near to the Concord Mills mall and the NASCAR Charlotte Motor Speedway. My husband and I tent camped there a couple of times without the kids and went to a race. Fun times.
Those are the main ones that we have visited so far. The ones I hope to visit soon are:
It always helps me get through tough times like our self-isolation by planning trips. Do you have any trips that you are currently planning? Stay safe everybody.
