Becoming More Self-Disciplined

What’s one small improvement you can make in your life?

I have become more than a little slack when it comes to setting goals, making decisions and sticking to them. I used to be much more disciplined than I am now and I need that in my life. We tend to think of the restrictions and limitations involved, but in reality, I believe it provides freedom and a sense of empowerment.

I prefer to be in control of my thoughts, actions, and habits. I don’t want to be at the mercy of impulses or cravings. Instead, I want to use my ability to make conscious choices that align with my goals and values. It is very empowering to set a goal and accomplish it, no matter how small the goal may be. These little victories tend to compound and I find myself achieving bigger ones as well.

Self-discipline is the key to aligning body, mind, and spirit. I want to be aligned! It involves me making a conscious effort to control my thoughts, emotions, and actions. I want to train my mind to be focused and clear, my body to be healthy and strong, and my spirit to be calm and centered. This alignment will create a sense of balance and harmony for a more fulfilling life. I believe that this self-discipline helps to build resilience, overcome obstacles, and increase self-confidence. And isn’t that something we could all use more of?
