We are all human so we often find ourselves making sacrifices for one reason or another. Such sacrifices are a natural part of life, and are often seen as a hallmark of being a good person.
In my own life, I have had to make difficult sacrifices, particularly in my younger years. Due to being over-protected and not wanting to rebel against my parents, I often had to forego activities or experiences that I truly desired. To this day I can’t wrap my mind around not being allowed to go to church camp! As a Christian parent shouldn’t that be where you want your children to go?? But we won’t open that bitter can of worms. Let’s just say that my kids were encouraged to go every time camp season rolled around.
I also would never have been allowed to go to school out of town so my dreams of being a sign language interpreter never came true. I’ve continued to take classes as an adult but with a family & kids and still no program close to home, that was something that never worked out for me. I believe everything happens for a reason and I am still fascinated with sign language, but it’s more of a hobby than a career and that’ll have to be good enough.

Some parents are too worried about the safety of their children and forbid every activity that takes them away from them
Yes! I made it my goal not to do that to my children. I taught them right from wrong and prayed a lot. I never wanted to be controlling because I hate being controlled
Well done my friend
Thank you. 😍
