What I’m Looking Forward To This Weekend 4/18/2025

I don’t have any big plans for tonight. My friend and I are going to the Healing Arts Festival in Elizabethton on Saturday. It sounds like a lot of fun and it promises to be a celebration of mind, body, and spiritual wellness in Downtown Elizabethton. There will be a full day of workshops, lectures, and demonstrations by local practitioners and organizations centered on health and wellness including:

  • A demonstration of a unique form of Holistic Shadow Work.
  • Qigong fundamentals with easy movements to reduce stress, improve immunity, get better balance, & increase energy.
  • An Essential Oil Expert will discuss natural solutions for burning fat/boosting your metabolism, including lifestyle changes and essential oils.
  • Grounded Therapeutics-information about fascia and myofascial chains, and the ways in which their dysfunctions affect the whole chain, including demonstration of Myofascial release techniques and movements to alleviate headaches and other daily issues.
  • Radiate Healing aura readings, targeted crystal healing and chakra cleanses and charges with crystals.
  • Ephemeral Experience with breathwork tools for managing stress, improving focus, and boosting energy, and a yoga nidra session, a guided practice that allows you to rest while remaining aware.

Sunday is Easter and I will be cooking at home. I’m going to prepare as much ahead as possible so it will be easy to pull together after church. I’ve placed my curbside order with Walmart to pick up later today. We will have a spiral sliced ham (hubby is picking that up) hash brown casserole, crescent rolls, a mediterranean chopped salad with a basil balsamic vinaigrette dressing and a blueberry- lemon & poppyseed bundt cake. Yum! I may throw in another side, we’ll see.
