Currently, I just text or use Facebook messenger. Other than WordPress I haven’t scrolled on any social media this year and it’s honestly been great. I’m in no hurry to go back. I deleted Instagram, Lemon8, and TikTok. I kept Facebook so I can list things on Marketplace and keep up with people when the need arises. But, honestly, I feel like my mind is clearer and my focus is better without all the social media cluttering it up. So I don’t think I’ll be in a hurry to go back. I’ve found I can actually do things without posting pictures and documenting them online. Go figure!

I agree with you. Except for having a presence on LinkedIn to maintain some professional contacts, I don’t have any social media accounts. My life is so much better that way.
I did the same thing last year and deleted pretty much everything except FB (for the same reasons you listed) and Discord, where I really only participate in one group. The funny thing is, I started going back to Ravelry, where I only participate in one group, and I’m on the hunt for a broader blogging community since I started blogging again last year. So maybe it’s not so much giving up on social media, but curating it for smaller, closer communities.
That sounds like a good plan. I’m not familiar with Ravelry.
Ravelry is a large online community for textile makers, mostly knitters and crocheters, but also spinners, weavers, and lots of other create with yarn types. https://www.ravelry.com/ It took a while for me to find a group that was a good fit for me, but I’m enjoying it.
